Introducing Laser Welded Ducting Components: The Future of Efficient Airflow

For more than 50 years, Nordfab has been manufacturing ducting components for process ventilation, dust collection, and fume extraction applications. We are pleased  to announce that our Quick-Fit (QF) laser welded straight ducting components are now available in Australia and New Zealand.

Laser welding is a precise and efficient method that uses a concentrated laser beam to join metal parts. This process results in cleaner, stronger, and more durable welds, making it ideal for ducting components that require high structural integrity and minimal leakage.

Benefits of Laser Welded Ducting Components:

  1. Enhanced Strength and Durability: Laser welded seams are stronger and more resistant to wear and tear compared to spot welded seams, ensuring a longer lifespan for your ducting system.
  2. Improved Airflow Efficiency: The smooth, continuous welds reduce air resistance and pressure losses, optimizing the performance of your ventilation system.
  3. Minimal Heat Distortion: Laser welding generates less heat, minimizing distortion and maintaining the integrity of the ducting material.
  4. Precision and Consistency: The automated laser welding process ensures consistent, high-quality welds, reducing the risk of defects and improving overall reliability.
  5. Aesthetic Appeal: Laser welded ducts have a cleaner appearance with no visible weld marks, enhancing the visual appeal of your installation

Check out our new products!

  • The laser welded ducting is available in 1.5 m length, ranging from 80 – 710 mm in diameter.
  • Our new Quick-Fit (QF) clamps allow for a quick and easy connection during installation as well as subsequent removal and re-use of the ducting system. The internal gasket guarantees a tight joint. The clamp comes from the factory with EPDM seal.
  • The Quick-Fit (QF) Slip Duct, or sometimes referred to as telescopic piece, is being used to provide variable length adjustment of the Quick-Fit ducting system by eliminating precise measurements.
