New Strut Hangers
Nordfab Ducting is pleased to introduce the Strut Hangers for strut channel mounting constructed of 14 gauge galvanized material. These unique hangers eliminate swaying and can be strut mounted vertically or horizontally. Our 9” hanger has been tested to withstand 170lbs while our 20” hanger withstood 850lbs. Hangers require no extra hardware such as threaded rod and strut nuts, which speeds installation on struts compared to conventional C-clamp and threaded rod installations.

New Clamp Hangers
Using the same idea that makes QF ducting so fast to install, we replaced the nuts and bolts that other hangers use with a genuine Nordfab QF clamp. The result is the “World’s Fastest Hanger”. To use the Clamp Hanger, simply slide it into place, and clamp it. Repositioning is no problem. Simply unclamp the hanger, slide to the new position and reclamp. We had these hangers tested at an independent test lab and it held up under stresses your duct will never see. Our 9” held up to 170lbs and 20” held up to 850lbs! By speeding up the entire duct installation process, the duct is in faster and your job finished sooner, saving you money!

New Product: Fume Arms
Our Nordfab Self Supporting Fume Arms provide the most economical and effective methods for the capture of fumes.

Contaminants are removed at their source. The use of self supporting joints, flexible hoses and smooth bore tubing allow for easy placement of the arm’s hood near the source of the air contaminants.

Nordfab fume arm tubes are fabricated steel with cast aluminum joints which include friction disc and are fully adjustable to the workers desired tension. The arms include a handle which completely encircles the hood in order to facilitate easy repositioning from all sides. Hood diameters vary from 8” on the 4” arms, to 14” on the 8” arms.

Nordfab Opens Warehouse in Canada
Nordfab Ducting Opens First Canadian Warehouse with Light Fabrication Capabilities in Delhi, Ontario

Thomasville, N.C. – Nordfab Ducting, part of the Dantherm Filtration family, has expanded its distribution and production by opening a new warehouse with light fabrication capabilities in Delhi, Ontario, Canada.

“One of the benefits of Nordfab clamp-together ducting is speed – both the speed with which it can be installed and the speed with which it can be delivered,” explains Tom Ballus, Dantherm Filtration’s North American president. “This warehouse in Delhi, Ontario, will allow us to speed delivery times for Canadian customers by two to three days by eliminating customs delays at the U.S.-Canadian border.” More than 10,000 pieces of standard clamp-together ducting – such as straight pipe and elbows – will be stored in the warehouse. In addition, the facility will have production capabilities, allowing for the manufacture of custom ducting pieces within Canada for Canadian customers.

Nordfab, which introduced the original Quick-Fit ductwork in 1986, is the world’s largest supplier of clamp-together ducting for dust, mist, fume and smoke collection. Nordfab owns and operates a 64,000-square-foot office and manufacturing facility in Thomasville, N.C., that employs more than 100 production, sales and corporate support employees. A 24,000-square-foot duct fabrication facility in Reno, Nev., helps ensure quick deliveries to and minimize shipping costs for customers in the western half of the United States.

Dantherm Filtration’s North American President Niels Pedersen Stepping Down after 30 Years

Will remain with company in research and development role

Thomasville, N.C. – Niels Pedersen announced today that he will step down as Dantherm Filtration’s North American president effective Friday, July 31. The company, which is headquartered in Thomasville, N.C., manufactures dust collection systems under its own name and Quick-Fit clamp-together ducting under the Nordfab Ducting brand. Pedersen, who founded Dantherm’s North American arm in Thomasville in 1979, will remain with the company as a business development manager. He will be succeeded as president by Nordfab Division Manager Tom Ballus.

“Like all manufacturing companies, Dantherm Filtration has been affected by the current economic conditions, and we are making changes now that will allow us to become a stronger company in the future,” Pedersen says. “I thought this was a good time for a new team to take over and head that expansion.”

In his new position, Pedersen will focus on implementing at Dantherm the dust combustion standards expected to be released by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety & Health Administration later this year.

NEW! Quick-Seal Clamps
The new Quick-Seal Clamp provides an extremely tight seal for dust, mist and fume collection ductwork. Nordfab Ducting developed the clamp to replace the original QF clamp, which has been the best selling (and best sealing), industrial duct clamp for more than 20 years. The clamp features a unique “overlap” design to ensure a 360-degree seal. The Quick-Seal clamp also features a longer, stronger handle for more comfort and leverage when closing the super-tight seal.

New Product: Mist Recycler
The new Nordfab Mist Recycler (MR) can extend filter media life, reduce maintenance costs and decrease issues caused by capturing and transporting large volumes of liquids to the collector. The idea for the MR is simple: Capture most of the mist near the pick-up point and return it to the machine. The MR houses a removable, industry-standard impingement baffle. This baffle acts as a system prefilter and mechanically extracts droplets and mist from the airstream. Liquid collected in the MR drains into a sump and is returned to the machine via a drain port. The MR comes standard with two drain taps so that it can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. The baffle and canister-shaped design cause only a minimal pressure drop across the MR.
